About Master Flow™ Bath & Dryer Rooftop Appliance Vent

The durable, all-metal Master Flow™ Bath & Dryer Rooftop Appliance Vent from GAF is designed to help vent heat and moisture from bathroom exhaust fans, clothes dryers1, and other household appliances through the roof. Its sleek design includes a heavy-duty stainless steel bird/pest screen1, noise-minimizing damper, duct attachment collar, and 4" (102 mm) to 3" (76.2 mm) reducer. The Master Flow™ Bath & Dryer Rooftop Appliance Vent is warrantied against manufacturing defects for up to 50 years or as long as the warranty of the roof cladding adjacent to the vent, not to exceed 50 years2 and is eligible for enhanced warranty coverage when installed by a contractor certified by GAF in connection with a qualifying roofing system.3

How to install the Master Flow™ Bath & Dryer Rooftop Appliance Vent⁷

  1. A contractor inserting the vent’s neck into a circular opening in the roof deck

    Step 1

    Cut a 5.5" (140 mm) diameter circular opening in the roof deck, insert the duct attachment collar, and fasten in place. With the "UP" arrow on the flashing pointing towards the roof peak, position the vent over the duct attachment collar.
  2. Contractor fastening the vent’s base flashing to the roof

    Step 2

    Fasten the vent's base flashing to the roof deck using the pre-punched nailing slots.

    Step 3

    Hook up 4" (101.6 mm) or 3" (76.2 mm) round ducts to the vent's duct attachment collar (and reducer if necessary) per local building/mechanical codes in your area.
