GAF Rooftop Equipment Mount 100
GAF Rooftop Equipment Mount 100 helps provide a secure connection directly to the roof deck or structural decks, redirecting the wind load off of the membrane and onto the structural deck. When properly installed, it can help to reduce rack or equipment movement and prevent water infiltration. GAF Rooftop Equipment Mount 100 is designed for uplift and shear retention on a commercial roof.

How to Choose the Best Membrane for a Commercial Solar Power Installation
Choosing the right roofing membrane can make a difference when installing a solar array. There are several things to consider when selecting a membrane for a roof that might have a solar installation added.
Installation Steps

Step 1
Mark location where GAF Rooftop Equipment Mount 100 is to be installed. Prepare membrane surface at each location following the substrate preparation and application instructions for GAF guarantee-eligible systems. -
Step 2
Install recommended fastener through the roof and deck (min. deck penetration ¾ in. for steel, 1 in. for wood) using the depth gauge provided, and allowing the fastener head to sit firmly on the gauge card. Do not overdrive. -
Step 3
Locate the notch on the perimeter of the GAF Rooftop Equipment Mount 100 flange* and note how it aligns with the plate on the underside of the Equipment Mount. -
Step 4
Slide the Equipment Mount into place capturing the head of the fastener in the keyhole. Continue to slide the Equipment Mount until the fastener head is lodged in the narrow slot of the keyhole. -
Step 5
Lift the flange and install eight (8) additional fasteners through the GAF Rooftop Equipment Mount 100 plate, hitting the top flutes. All nine (9) fasteners must be used for proper plate loading! Do not fold or crease the membrane during fastener installation. -
Step 6
Heat weld the flange of the Equipment Mount to the GAF flashing detail specifications and seal cut edges as required.
