Back in 2023, after more than a decade in the home improvement industry, Joshua noticed a common problem: homeowners were often sold individual products instead of real solutions. Gutters, roofing, drainage, soffit, fascia, and even entry doors were treated as separate projects, when in reality, they all play a role in protecting a home from water intrusion and the damage it can cause. That realization led to the creation of Guardian Gutters, built around one simple belief: water management matters. Today, we do far more than install gutters. We look at your home as a complete water management system. From the roof that sheds water, to the gutters and downspouts that collect it, to underground drainage systems that carry it safely away from your foundation, every component works together to protect your home. We also install soffit, fascia, trim, and entry doors because we understand that keeping water and the elements outside is critical to preserving your home’s comfort, efficiency, and value. We chose the name “Guardian” because that’s exactly what these systems should be—a quiet protector of everything and everyone inside. When designed and installed correctly, they help prevent foundation issues, wood rot, mold, leaks, erosion, and costly repairs before they start. After spending two years building the company on his own, Joshua welcomed his wife, Gina, to the business. Leaving her career in healthcare was a difficult decision, but it allowed them to build something meaningful together. Gina’s background in clinical care continues to shape how we serve our customers—with active listening, attention to detail, education, and a genuine desire to help people make informed decisions about their homes. Today, Guardian Gutters is a family-owned company based in Edgewater, proudly serving homeowners throughout Maryland and Washington, DC.
