Material Circularity in Residential & Commercial Roofing
GAF aims to reduce waste sent to landfills from our facilities. In addition to our recycled asphalt shingles, we recycle, regrind and reuse post-manufacture TPO waste, and hold GreenCircle recycled content certifications for select GAF EnergyGuard™ products.
Product Life Cycle Assessment
GAF strives to reduce environmental impact while maximizing product performance. We conducted life cycle assessments (LCAs) on our products to understand their impact, resulting in several Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). EPDs allow products to contribute to green building rating systems.
Water Stewardship
Every drop of water matters in our operations, so we installed closed-loop process water systems in several plants to reduce our total water usage. GAF’s facilities in Shafter, CA, Mt. Vernon, IN, and Tampa, FL have recently implemented major water conservation projects to reduce total water use.
